Editorial Policy

The Journal of Public and Clinical Health Research (JPCHR) upholds a rigorous editorial policy to ensure the publication of high-quality, relevant, and impactful research. All submissions are initially assessed by an editor to determine their alignment with the journal’s aims and scope. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria, exceed word limits, or fail to comply with the author guidelines may be returned without review. Once accepted for consideration, manuscripts undergo a structured peer-review process to maintain academic integrity and scientific rigor. The final decision on acceptance or rejection rests with the editor, based on the reviewers’ assessments.

Peer Review Policy

JPCHR follows a double-blind peer-review process, ensuring that both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to maintain impartiality. Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two external reviewers who evaluate its scientific validity, relevance, novelty, and contribution to the field. In cases of conflicting reviews, a third reviewer may be consulted. Reviewers provide constructive feedback and recommendations, which are communicated to the authors for revision. The editorial team ensures that the peer-review process remains fair, transparent, and free from bias.

Editorial Process

The editorial workflow at JPCHR involves several structured stages, starting with the initial editorial assessment, followed by double-blind peer review and subsequent revisions. Authors are required to submit a point-by-point response to reviewer comments and provide a revised version of their manuscript. Once a manuscript is accepted, it undergoes meticulous copyediting to ensure clarity, grammatical accuracy, and adherence to formatting guidelines. Authors receive galley proofs for final review and must submit corrections within three days. After final approval, manuscripts are published online immediately under the Continuous Article Publishing (CAP) model, enabling rapid dissemination of research findings. In cases where editorial board members submit manuscripts, the review and decision-making process is handled independently, with external reviewers assessing the work to avoid conflicts of interest.

Open Access Policies

As part of our commitment to knowledge sharing and collaboration, the journal operates under an open-access model. All articles published in JPCHR are freely available online, ensuring that research can reach a broad audience and have a greater impact.

Digital Archiving Policies

The journal ensures long-term digital preservation of its content through partnerships with leading archiving systems, including the PKP Preservation Network (PN) and CLOCKSS.
